Premier Li Meets with Colombian President

Premier Li fully values the China-Colombia partnership, which boasts healthy and steady development since it was established 39 years ago. And bilateral practical cooperation continues to thrive, benefiting both sides.

China is willing to beef up political mutual trust with Colombia, strengthen coordination of the development strategies of both countries, deepen practical cooperation in all fields, and propel the China-Colombia ties to new heights.

Premier Li said that both sides are dedicated to the principle of free trade. Instead of seeking a trade surplus, China engages in fair and transparent reciprocal cooperation with unswerving adherence to market principles and business rules.

China is willing to expand two-way investment with Colombia, create a favorable business environment for enterprises of both sides in terms of investment, import more competitive, quality products from Colombia, and facilitate a balanced bilateral trade structure.

China will support Colombia's efforts to promote economic growth and achieve a peaceful domestic environment, the Premier said.

Duque said that China-Colombia ties have made considerable achievements. Colombia takes its hat off to China's ground-breaking achievements since its founding 70 years ago.

Colombia stays a stickler for the one-China policy, Duque said, and is willing to cement high-level exchanges with China, deepen practical cooperation, and jointly work to actualize broad prospects.
