Hao Peng Attends Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2019

Hao Peng, Secretary of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) Party Committee and Chairman of SASAC, attended the opening ceremony of the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2019, also known as Summer Davos, in Dalian, Liaoning province, on July 2.

He also attended a dialogue session between China's state leader and CEOs of Chinese and overseas enterprises and the China Business Night, and met with World Economic Forum (WEF) Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.

Ren Hongbin, Vice Chairman and Member of the SASAC Party Committee, was also present.

During the Annual Meeting, the China Business Night hosted by SASAC and WEF attracted senior executives of about 70 enterprises from home and abroad.

Hao said SASAC and Chinese central SOEs should study and implement the important spirits in the remarks made by President Xi Jinping at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and the 14th G20 Summit, and follow the deployments made by Premier Li Keqiang in his speech at the opening of this year's Summer Davos Forum, expanding cooperation with enterprises of all kinds of ownership in various countries.

He urged efforts to seize the opportunities provided by Globalization 4.0, and the new opportunities brought by the optimization and upgrading of economic structure, the improvement of scientific and technological capability, the Belt and Road Initiative, the green development strategy and the reform of Chinese SOEs.

Hao also called on SASAC and Chinese central SOEs to explore in-depth cooperation and integrated development paths and modes for businesses of all kinds of ownership, to leverage their complementary strengths, to promote each other and achieve common development through pragmatic cooperation, and to help create for Chinese and foreign enterprises a closer community of shared interests, concerted action and common responsibility for a better future .

Hao, in his meeting with Schwab, said that SASAC will continue to deepen its cooperation with the WEF, and encourage and support Chinese central SOEs to expand international exchanges and open cooperation with the support of forum platform, to integrate deeply into the international business community, to demonstrate Chinese central SOEs' market-oriented and international image, and to increase mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation with leading global enterprises in more fields, contributing to high-quality growth of the world economy.

During the Annual Meeting, senior executives of some Chinese central SOEs participated in various sessions and shared insights with friends from home and abroad. They offered China's voice on economic issues, showing their open attitudes for deeper cooperation with enterprises from various countries and their hope of realizing mutual benefits and win-win results.
