Introduction to SOEs' Role in the Belt and Road

In the past six years, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has gained responses from more and more countries and international organizations and impressed the world with its continuously expanding impact.

Chinese central SOEs have been engaged in the construction of the Belt and Road, always practicing the principle of consultation, co-building and shared benefits. They have shouldered a total of 3,116 investment and engineering projects in infrastructure construction, energy and resource development and international capacity cooperation in countries involved in the BRI.

Chinese central SOEs have also fulfilled social responsibilities and been devoted to public welfare in these countries, sharing development achievements with the local people and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
