PowerChina buys Carbotech Gas Systems GmbH

PowerChina Water Environment Governance Co recently completed the acquisition of Carbotech Gas Systems GmbH, making Carbotech a wholly-owned PowerChina subsidiary in Germany.

Carbotech is a German enterprise specializing in industrial gas processing and purification engineering design. It boasts pressure swing adsorption (PSA) and membrane technologies and is engaged in sales of and operation services for complete sets of equipment.

As a player in biogas purification and production for more than 30 years, Carbotech is a leader in the field of methane and other gas purification treatments in Europe. The company has mature solutions in biomass biogas purification, process gas production and extraction, and power-driven gas production.

It is not only a leading biogas purification technology provider, but also an EPC engineering contractor of gas purification equipment integration in Europe.

The acquisition is expected to enhance PowerChina's R&D, design, equipment supply and integration strengths in biogas purification, process gas production and extraction and power-driven gas production while expanding its industrial chain.
