With the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) being around the corner, Sinochem Group, a leader in China's opening-up, is elaborately deploying a group of tasks, such as contacting with overseas business people, organizing signing ceremonies, arranging exhibitions, promoting brand and offering logistics support and hosting on-spot activities, showing its responsibilities in promoting a new round of high-level opening-up in China as a Chinese central state-owned enterprise.
Open invitation to partners across the globe
Sinochem Group is actively inviting partners to participate in the CIIE. Up to now, its partners from more than ten countries and regions, such as the United States, Norway, France, India, Jordan, Russia, Morocco, Canada, Israel, South Korea, Philippines, Bangladesh and China's Taiwan plan to join in the event and conduct business negotiations with each other.
Invited business people have agreed that the first CIIE demonstrates China's determination to continue reform and opening up. At present, China's economy has been transitioning from a phase of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development and upgrading, bringing more win-win opportunities to the world economy.
They aim to demonstrate their most recognized high-quality products, the most innovative technologies, the most subversive new business model and the most advanced concept of sustainable development to Chinese customers at the event, hoping to support economic globalization and free trade with actions.
Activities highlighting Sinochem characteristics
During the Expo, Ning Gaoning, Chairman of Sinochem Group, will attend and deliver a speech at the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum and the Central Enterprise International Cooperation Forum. In addition, in the afternoon of Nov 6, Sinochem Group will hold an event attended by its energy, chemical, agricultural and financial arms to sign contracts with high-profile foreign suppliers in various industries.
The signing ceremonies will closely center on the orientation of the Expo, highlight the international characteristics, and strive to build the event into a flagship event in the grand event.
Sinochem Group has deliberately studied the procurement intentions, organized its affiliated enterprises to make procurement, invited overseas partners to participate and sign contracts in the expo, as well as support and organize related activities at the site in light of its own business operations and procurement needs, so as to ensure the participation and procurement a success. It will also help promote the cooperation on production, trade, investment, technology and talent between Sinochem Group and participating enterprises at home and abroad.
Detailed planning in advance
Early in March this year, Sinochem Group defined the labor division and schedule for its preparatory work. A special coordination mechanism was launched to guide the work of the group headquarters and various divisions and subsidiaries.
The company also held a meeting to encourage procurement, introduce the expo to the subordinate enterprises and emphasize the significance of participation; in an investigation on the procurement demand, the divisions of Sinochem Group have perfected and defined the amount of intentional procurement in 2018, the next five years, or the contract period, determined the expected participating enterprises and personnel, and summarized their latest procurement demand in a timely manner.
In April, Sinochem Group began to invite exhibitors and contractors, and assisted its partners in the registration, exhibition and other processes; by June, its affiliated enterprises and personnel have completed registration, and confirmed the proposed transaction; since July, Sinochem Group has offered full support to its foreign partners to participate in the CIIE.
Sinochem Group put forward the general requirements of preparatory work: all participants shall work energetically for 40 days! Great importance has been attached to ensure the procurement a success at the expo; a cross-divisional special team led by its General Office of the Group shall be launched; relevant departments shall assume their respective liabilities according to the schedule and hold regular meetings to work on the checklist; it aims to be a leader among Chinese central SOEs and show its own characteristics at the event.
