4. What scientific innovations were used to build the bridge?
Four hundred patents were created when building the bridge, and various new materials, processes, equipment and technologies were used to tackle huge and diverse difficulties during its construction.

5. How is customs clearance handled on the bridge?
Ports of the three places are regulated by their local governments. The Port of Macao SAR is connected with that of Zhuhai, so travelers only need to be checked once. Customs clearance is available 24 hours a day.
Note that only the driver can remain in the car for vehicle clearance; passengers should get off out and go to the inspection room for clearance.
