On Aug 2, Hao Peng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, PRC (SASAC), met with Mostafa Madbouli, Prime Minister of Egypt. Hao was on an inspection visit to the branches of Chinese central SOEs in Egypt.

They exchanged ideas on project cooperation involving Chinese central SOEs in Egypt with a frank and pragmatic attitude.

Madbouli welcomed Hao and his delegation and appreciated the deepening pragmatic cooperation between Egypt and China in fields like economic and trade exchanges and project development and investment. He also expressed his confidence in and expectations of the high standards and quality of Chinese central SOEs' projects in Egypt.

He hoped the two countries will jointly promote the construction of Chinese central SOEs' major projects in Egypt, especially the Central Business District (CBD) in Egypt's new administrative capital.

Madbouli said he hoped the project will become landmark architecture like a modern-day "Pyramid".
