Over 15 Billion kWh of Power Sent to Central China through Qinghai-Henan UHV DC Project

The ±800 Qinghai-Henan ultra-high voltage (UHV) direct current (DC) power transmission project had transmitted approximately 15.6 billion kilowatt-hours of power to central China by the end of August, according to the State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company.

Starting from Hainan Tibet Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province and terminating at Zhumadian in Henan Province, the 1,563-kilometer line passes through Gansu and Shaanxi provinces.

The project went into operation on Dec 30, 2020.
