Updated: January 14, 2021

The Myanmar Dapein I Hydropower Station had achieved 3102 consecutive days of safe production of nearly 1.14 billion kWh of power by Dec 31, 2020, a record high.

The station is jointly developed, built and operated by Datang (Yunnan) United Hydropower Developing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Datang Corporation Ltd. (CDT), and the government of Myanmar.

Thanks to the company's various measures in epidemic prevention and power generation, the station completed its annual power generation goal 66 days ahead of schedule.

Located in North Myanmar, the Dapein I Hydropower Station is the first overseas project invested, constructed and operated by CDT.

A power corridor and a power exchange hub between China and Myanmar, the station has continuously provided reliable, stable and clean power to Bhamoarea in Myanmar, offered jobs and helped improve living standards of local people and boost the regional economy.

CDT has made brochures on epidemic prevention since the COVID-19 outbreak and purchased special epidemic insurance for Chinese and Myanmar employees.

What's more, the company had provided anti-epidemic materials including masks, thermometers and disinfectants to local residents.

The company has maintained "zero infection" of COVID-19 for 12 consecutive months.
