Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Opens to Traffic

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge opened to traffic on Oct 23, 2018. It was designed by China Communications Construction Company Limited, which was also responsible for more than 70 percent of its construction.

With a total length of 55 kilometers, it is the world's longest cross-sea bridge and has the longest highway immersed tunnel and the only deep buried immersed tunnel in the world.

The Guardian described it as "one of the seven wonders of the modern world".
