​Nuclear Power Generator with World's Largest Unit Capacity Leaves Factory

The No. 1 1,750MW nuclear power generator of the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant that has the world's largest unit capacity of its kind left the factory on Aug 24, 2013.

The generator was developed by Dongfang Electric Corporation.

The first phase of the plant included two pressurized water reactor nuclear generators with the third generation EPR technology. The unit capacity of both generators was 1,750MW.
