The Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention, designed by a subsidiary of the China Academy of Building Research in Shenzhen, went into service on Oct 18, 2010.

Its service was the beginning of the city's public health industry and plays an outstanding role in disease control and prevention and emergency response at public events.
