Logistics Practitioners Hold Activity to Celebrate PRC's 70th Founding Anniversary

Updated: 2019-09-16

A promotion activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was organized by practitioners in the logistics industry.

The launch ceremony was held on Aug 31.

Li Yongzhao, president of China Storage and Transport Magazine, said that roads, networks, vehicles, chains and people are the main elements of the modern logistics industry.

He explained that highway freight transportation involves highway facilities, economic industries, and means of delivery, trades and technology, all of which are directly experienced by the nearly 20 million truck drivers throughout China.

Improving the dignity and sense of belonging of these drivers is crucial and SOEs should play a leading role in promoting sound development of the truck driver group, he added.

An MV expressing logistics practitioners' love and wishes for China was played at the ceremony, which reflected their efforts and CMST  Nanjing  Wisdom Logistics Technology Co., Ltd.'s (CMST Wisdom) contribution to development of smart logistics.

Officials at the National Development and Reform Commission, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the Ministry of Transport and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, representatives from the central SOEs in road construction and truck manufacturing industries, distinguished guests from related associations and public interest organizations and mainstream media units attended the ceremony, witnessing logistics practitioners' contribution to the national economy and social development.

The activity was initiated by China Storage and Transport Magazine and the government and enterprise think tank of China Reform Daily and hosted by CMST Wisdom under the directions of the News Center of SASAC.

The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation and FAW Group also offered their support to the event.
