CSCEC to Built First Station-city Integration Project in Changchun

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has won the bid for the construction of section 03 of Line 6 of the urban railway system project in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province.

It is the largest project of its kind in Northeast China and CSCEC's first station-city integrated innovation pilot program.

Construction of the 29.57-kilometer Line 6, valued at about 12.4 billion yuan ($1.75 billion), is to start on Sept 30 and the scheduled construction period is four years and nine months.

The section, valued at 3.32 billion yuan, includes five stations, five intervals and one entrance and exit depot line.

Construction plans for the project were primarily developed by CSCEC, with contributions from many other enterprises including China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Ltd., China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd, China Construction Sixth Engineering Division Corp, Ltd, China Construction Eighth Engineering Division. Corp. Ltd and China Construction Communications Engrg. Group Corp. Ltd.

Construction of the company's first prefabricated station - Huaqing Road station - is also included in the project, which will be a transport hub at the crossing of Line 1 and Line 6 integrating business, residences, office buildings, a park and public buildings.

The hub will contribute to sustainable development of the city.

Rail traffic is the core of the station-city integration which is intended to develop and construct spaces for transport, urban public and commercial service as a whole. It is significant to revitalization of the old industrial base in Northeast China, highly valued by the government.
