CHD's Generator at Top of World's Thermal Power Industry

Updated: 2019-09-09

The No. 3 unit of the phase II project of China Huadian Corporation Ltd (CHD) in Laizhou, has gone into operation after 168 hours of full load testing.

Contracted by CHD in Laizhou, East China's Shandong Province, the project integrates advanced technologies like smart lightening, intelligent soot blowing, a digital coal yard, a fieldbus, GIL loop line and deep utilization of smoke's waste heat.

These are among the top of such technologies in the world.

With a targeted coal consumption to power ratio of 253.48 g/kWh, the project is equipped with the double reheat tower furnace which has higher steam parameters, lower energy consumption and more advanced technology.

The project's current coal consumption to power ratio is 261.8 g/kWh and the power generation rate is 3.19 percent.

Compared to traditional supercritical units, the new facility performs better in energy conservation and emission reduction.

Construction of the project started in April 2016 and the facility generated 168.46 million kWh during testing, with an average load of 1,003 MW.

The rates of electric precipitation, denitration and desulfurization, as well as those of passed tests of gas and water quality, are all 100 percent.

In addition, the main economic technical indexes of the generation unit meet top national standards.
