China's first super capacitor research center is established on August 15, 2013
The launch of China's first research center for super capacitors was announced by China CSR Corporation Limited (now merged with China CNR Corporation Limited into CRRC Corporation Limited) on August 15, 2013.
The establishment of the center has driven and promoted green industrial clusters and had a major strategic, social and economic impact on China.
The center focuses on research and development of high-energy-density and low-cost super capacitors.
It is significant for the company during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-15) and is a highlight of the energy conservation and emission reduction project of the National Development and Reform Commission.

Mingtong Ship, the world's largest ore carrier, was delivered to its buyer on August 15, 2018.
Built by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, the new type 400,000-ton vessel is 362 meters long and can travel as far as 25,500 sea miles.
It is able to complete non-stop voyages between any two ports.
Compared to earlier designs, this new type of vessel saves 1,800 tons of fuel per voyage, which means it will consume 180,000 tons less oil over in its 25 years' service.
The ship is used for iron ore transportation on the Brazil-China route, and plays an indispensable role in guaranteeing safe iron ore transportation.
