China's first water-cooled centrifugal tube casting machine went into operation on June 13, 1994.

Independently developed by Xinxing Cathay International Group Co., Ltd., the machine showed that China has realized localization of a spheroidal casting iron pipes (SCIP) machine which promoted the rapid development of the cast pipe industry in China.

The breakthrough of the water-cooled centrifugal tube technology helped the company improve its system in terms of product structure and industry orientation, which laid a foundation for it to become one of the internationally leading cast pipe manufacturers.

The technology benefited the development of multiple specifications and diversified types of products, advancing urbanization.

The company is currently the only Chinese enterprise presiding and participating in making international SCIP standards.
