China, Italy Sign MOU on Nuclear Waste, Facilities Management

CNNC Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Group and Italy's Ansaldo Nucleare signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in nuclear waste management and nuclear facilities decommissioning on May 16 in Shanghai.

According to the agreement, the three parties will make full use of their specialties and international influence to promote cooperative projects in fields of waste management and nuclear facilities decommissioning.

The three companies will also build a platform to introduce more Chinese enterprises to international nuclear environmental protection markets.

In addition, Italy's GIOCONDA decommission program and China's decommission project of a storage garage for low radioactive concentrated liquor will be pushed forward through cooperation by the three companies.
