CABR, ICC-ES, DIBt Sign MOU on Cooperation in Engineering Certification, Standards and Inspection

The China Academy of Building Research (CABR), the International Code Council Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) and the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on strategic cooperation in product certification, international standards and inspection of engineering construction.

The MOU will promote international cooperation, mutual recognition, trade facilitation and cooperation and exchange among the parties, particularly in aspects of new products and innovative technology.

The agreement will also reduce international trade barriers and help products meet the requirements of conformity assessment to enter the international market.

A non-profit organization focusing on construction safety, the ICC-ES has had 70 years' experience in engineering construction assessment. It is the most influential building technology assessment institute in North America.

DIBt is an important member of the European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA) and of the European Union for Agrément (UEAtc) and is an authority in evaluation and authorization of engineering construction technology skills and related products in Germany and throughout Europe.

CABR will deepen cooperation with ICC-ES and DIBt under the framework and provide Chinese enterprises with all-round international technical service in certification, standards and inspection.
