China-made Laos’ hydropower station acquire acceptance certificate

China Gezhouba Group Mechanical & Electrical Construction Co Ltd recently acquired the acceptance certificate for the Nam Chiane Hydropower Station from EDL, the project's owner, marking the official handover of the project.

The hydroelectric power station is located at Xiangkhouang province, Laos, and has total installed capacity of 104,000 kW. It was contracted by China Gezhouba Group Company Ltd. China Gezhouba Group NO 6 Engineering Co Ltd and China Gezhouba Group Mechanical & Electrical Construction Co Ltd have undertaken the construction tasks.

On Mar 1, 2018, the two units of the project began commercial operation. After the hydroelectric power station's completion, the rate of electrification will be improved and the local economy and livelihoods will be well promoted.
