China Tower’s overseas investment bears fruit

Southeast Asia Tower Co Ltd, a joint venture between China Tower Corporation Limited (China Tower), Lao local firm Click Lao Marketing and Consultancy and the government of Laos, held an opening ceremony on Dec 18 in Vientiane, capital of Laos.

The communication industry is very critical, said Bounnhang Vorachith, president of Laos and general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party when he met with Tong Jilu, chairman and general manager of China Tower on the same day. The Lao leader congratulated Tong on the establishment of the Southeast Asia Tower and said he supports the company to make prosperity in Laos.

Southeast Asia Tower is the first overseas investment project of China Tower. The company brought a resources and facility sharing development model to the Southeast Asian country and implemented the model in the local market. In that way, the nation's improved communication infrastructure allowed for a freeing up of more resources and a better environmental impact.
