Hailing Datang’s success, Cambodia wants more China energy investment

Mr. Tea Kong, Cambodian Minister-Counselor to China, recently shared his views with SASAC News Center and China Daily  on Chinese central SOEs and China’s overseas economic cooperation.

On behalf of the Cambodian people he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to China Datang Corp, a power generator that helped build the Stung Atay Hydropower Project and the Phnom Penh-Battambang Power Transmission Project in Cambodia, for its contribution to the Cambodian economy.

Infrastructure cooperation between China and Cambodia is riding on a high tide as China’s Belt and Road Initiative enters its fifth year. Mr. Tea Kong sincerely expects more Chinese companies to invest in Cambodia for mutual benefit.
