The partner assistance of Beijing and Inner Mongolia autonomous region stepped into a new stage as 42 of Beijing’s enterprises realized projects matchmaking with seven leagues, 31 banners and counties in Inner Mongolia from May 13 to 15.

The event was organized by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and Beijing Assistance and Cooperation Office to implement the three-year action framework agreement on poverty alleviation coordination between the two sides.

With a planned investment of 26.6 billion yuan ($4.16 billion), the matchmaking meeting has introduced 90 industrial projects involving industries from agricultural and livestock products processing, cultural tourism, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals to modern services.

The event is expected to facilitate Inner Mongolia’s poverty relief. The autonomous region will implement more practical and effective measures to guarantee these industrial poverty alleviation projects.

At the event, Beijing Energy Investment Holding Co Ltd, Beijing Tong Ren Tang Group and Beijing Yueshengzhai Islamic Food Co Ltd, have reached strategic cooperation agreements with Hinggan League, Xiliin Gol League and Chifeng, respectively.

In the future, the autonomous region will put more effort in project selection, construction and development, with the industrial poverty alleviation as the fundamental solution.

Meanwhile, administrative authorities and enterprises in Beijing will make efforts in industrial project cooperation and contribute to Inner Mongolia’s poverty relief.
